Ja jongens, dat jullie blikveld nou niet verder reikt dan Scream VIII... Daarom zijn er nou filmkenners, om de wereld erop te wijzen dat er echt meer is dan JJ Abrams.
En het ging om citaten die een beetje betekenis hebben gekregen, niet regels die in de context van een film geweldig zijn, maar daarbuiten niks. "I love you, Pumpkin" valt daarom natuurlijk volledig buiten de boot.

hmmm in dat geval; hoeveel betekenis heeft het citaat "my name is bond, james bond" dan louter een referentie naar de film? En het blijft op zn minst opmerkelijk dat er geen enkel citaat van Tarantino in zit hoewel die toch over het algemeen lovende kritieken krijgt (zowel van filmkenners als de jongens met een beperkter blikveld) en toch zeker enkele briljante quotes verzonnen heeft. Duurt het misschien nog enkele jaren voordat deze voldoende betekenis hebben gekregen om ook in de lijst te passen? Als iedereen nou Ezekiel 25:17 opzegt voor het snijden van het vlees lukt het misschien...

Het Bond-citaat wordt zo vaak elders gebruikt, dat het geheel zelfstandig bestaat. Dat geldt ook voor "fasten your seatbelts. this is going to be a bumpy ride" of hoe hij dan ook letterlijk is.
Ezekiel (dat in het Nederlands Ezechiël heet) is gewoon een Bijbelcitaat. Dat gaat toch nooit hetzelfde werken? Dat werkt alleen maar ironisch in de context van die film. Misschien als iedereen het opzegt, maar dat is met het Onze Vader ook niet gelukt...
Vergelijk het met reclame-citaten. "Goeiemoggel" werkt buiten de context van de reclame en wordt door iedereen herkend, "This is Sparta" of "are you not entertained" niet.

Het is compleet gerechtigd dat de helft zwart wit films zijn in mijn ogen. Kleur is er pas later in gekomen. Het is gewoon jammer dat "deze generatie", waar htje het over heeft, geen idee heeft van de films die ouder zijn dan de jaren 90 met een uitschieter hier en daar.
Denk terug aan mensen als Humphrey Bogart, Errol Flynn, Victoria de Havilland enz. enz. enz. Dit zijn mensen die sinds de jaren 30 al op het witte doek verschenen in zwart wit en die zeker in films speelden waar klassieke quotes uit zijn gekomen.
Dat "onze generatie" (ik ben 24 voor de duidelijkheid) over het algemeen alleen maar naar meuk kijkt waar goede special effects in zitten of chicks of hunks is totaal de schuld van de maatschappij. Schapen zijn we geworden.
Toon op zijn minst respect voor de dingen waar je geen verstand van hebt.
